A Rich History
Marine & Commercial Services traces its roots back to pre-partition era when the founders provided ship chandling services to calling vessels at the Bombay, Karachi & Port of Chittagong. After the partition of United India, MCS expanded into ship management services and provided a whole spectrum of marine services out of Chittagong and Karachi to seafaring vessels. In 1973 Pakistan faced a double tragedy of partition and the nationalization of industries whereby all assets were seized by the government without any compensation for the owners. The founders perceviered and in the same year founded Marine and Commercial Services and grew it to a diversified powerhouse in the Pakistan marine and industrial services industry.
